A Heartfelt Thank You: Lessons from Everyday Trust

A Heartfelt Thank You Lessons from Everyday Trust

The Power of Small Moments

Sometimes the biggest lessons are given in the small moments of everyday life. Without making a big show, there is just a small feeling of trust. This is a thank you note for all those people who made my world, just because they let me become a part of their world.

Mummy, Papa and my teachers you all believed in me when I did not even know how to trust myself. You recognized my capabilities first, I understood later.

You all made me worthy of every small responsibility, whether it is a simple household task or a school responsibility. This letter is for those moments a thank you that came from the heart. This is the story of my gratitude.

My Beloved Mummy – My First Believer

Mummy, I am thankful from the bottom of my heart for every single task that you gave me. You didn’t just give me a task, you gave me your trust. You believed in me and that belief taught me to believe in myself.

Trust in Everyday Tasks

Thank you Mummy, for making me a part of the heart of our home. You trusted me that I:

  • Can make morning tea and handle cups with love.
  • Can knead flour and make fresh hot rotis for everyone.
  • Can handle household money and keep it safe in the coffin.
  • Can serve dinner to Papa with all love and respect.
  • If guests come, I can serve them water and fresh fruits or salad.
  • Can do simple but important tasks like threading a needle or folding clothes very well.

Bigger Responsibilities, Greater Joy

You also made me responsible for bigger tasks like letting me drive the car or the bike, when it was time to take you for a checkup. When you were happy with my work, Mummy, my heart was really filled with joy.

For making me feel so capable, for giving me so much love thank you, thank you, thank you Mummy. I love you, I love you, I love you.

My Dear Papa – The Pillar of My Strength

Papa, you taught me to fulfil my responsibilities without saying much, just in your calm and strong way. Your trust is a gift for me which I will always keep in my heart. Your every small deed was no less than a medal for me.

Lessons Through Trust

I am thankful from the bottom of my heart that you trusted me so much that you:

  • Allowed me to press your clothes so that you could always look smart.
  • Told me to handle your important papers without any hesitation.
  • Told me to make those small parts of food who make everything special like cutting salad, adding salt with taste and making curd lassi.
  • Gave me the basic household chores like turning on the motor and geyser.
  • Gave me the care of our dogs, because you knew that I would feed them with love.
  • When you were tired, you made me massage your head with oil at that moment I only had your love and trust.

Life Lessons Beyond Tasks

The biggest thing, Papa, thank you for teaching me that if you make a mistake, it is important to say sorry and also that despite being busy, you always chose to play with me.

You didn’t just give me work, you gave me your time, taught me your lessons. Thank you, thank you, thank you Papa. I love you, I love you, I love you. I respect you and I am proud that I am your daughter.
