Why Gratitude Matters
Sometimes life seems very difficult. Everything happens so fast that we forget to stop and see the good things that are right in front of us. I too was feeling the same way at one time. Then I started a simple thing writing down every day those things for which I am thankful.
This is not just about saying thank you, it is about feeling those moments from the heart. When I started this practice, slowly my thinking started changing. Now I want to share a little bit of my heart and my gratitude journal with you. This is a personal thank you from my side to the universe and to all those people who have been a part of my life and shaped me.
A Tribute to Papa’s Silent Strength
Whenever I think of strength, the first thing that comes to mind is Papa’s face. His strength is not out loud but is felt in the heart like a silent power.
How much thankful I feel for him is hard to put into words. He taught me discipline not as a punishment but by making it a way to understand life. Every day when he sacrificed his comfort just for us, without any complaint. I want to thank all those moments from the bottom of my heart.
Lessons from Papa
- Silent Protector: Papa has always been my silent protector like an invisible shield, which was always around me, providing it to me without asking for it.
- Resilience: He taught me to fight in the tough times of life, taught me to stand like a pillar.
- Role Model: He always stood with my dreams, walked with me in every challenge and showed me how to be a perfect role model.
Papa for all those lessons for those little moments of joy that you gave me thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Mummy’s Unconditional Love
Mummy's love is the first home where we first feel safe. My gratitude for Mummy is like an ocean deep and never ending. Thank you Mummy for this beautiful life and for that love which never depended on any condition. When I could not love myself, you still loved me without any conditions. Every warm meal you made for me, every night when I was sick and you chose to stay awake the whole night to take care of me – I want to thank them all from the bottom of my heart.
Mummy’s Endless Support
- Comfort: Your warm hugs always give me comfort and your soft words show me the way.
- Best Friend: You have been my best friend, my safe space, my support that always believed in me even when I doubted myself.
- Patience: Thank you for being so patient for forgiving me again and again and for never letting me feel alone.
You made me understand the meaning of gratitude. Whatever I am today is because of you for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I love you, Mummy.
Gratitude for Life’s Teachers
In our life every person we meet, every lesson and every experience has a role to play. They shape and change us a little. My Daily Gratitude Practice is for all those who have taught me something in some way or the other.
I am truly thankful to every teacher, every guru, every mentor who shared their knowledge with me. I am truly thankful for all that you all taught me, explained to me, the changes they brought in my life and the support they gave to my goals and dreams.
The Magic of Gratitude
I also want to thank a magic book that came into my life at the right time. It introduced me to this powerful practice of gratitude, opening up a new perspective before my eyes.
Most of all thank you for that energy that power of Daily Gratitude Practice which shows us a little magic even in the normal moments of every day. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of heart.
